Autumn, Fall, Fall colors, fungus, Hurricane Sandy, Leaves, photography, rain, Sandy, trees
Since we were lucky to see that we had not lost power and that the only damage we seemed to have was fallen branches, I took a couple of pictures of our yard the morning after Sandy, with fallen branches and leaves and their fall colors magnified by drops of rain.
For some reason, this fungus made me think of empañadas… No, a branch didn’t hit my head during the storm ;-)
My little gourds are now back to work, like I will tomorrow (yeah!). They are back to decorating our deck.

Beautiful colours. Lovely to see the sun in your part of the world, after the storm
We had quite a sunny week, but much colder.
What great juxtaposition! Life, color and beauty amidst the grey of destruction aftermath.
That’s what I thought too. I thought it was a good reminder that there was still life after the storm.
Thanks!
‘Out of my ashes will rise a new phoenix.” Your photos show beauty and hope.
Thank you :-)
Beautiful!
Thank you!
